There are many hotels, apartments, self catering or full board that will suit all visitors to Kontokali. Here I have compiled a short list of those that I know, either by staying there myself, or visiting for the purpose of finding out information for others.

KONTOKALI BAY HOTELhttp://i9.tinypic.com/43hwq2r.jpg

The Kontokali Bay Hotel is classified as a Luxury Star Rated Hotel situated on the small but wooded peninsular south of the village itself. The Main Complex of the KBH overlooks both the sea that separates Corfu from the Mainland and the Gouvia Marina.

Many rooms are set out as bungalows which are in the midst of the flourishing, pine and cypress-laden gardens. The vibrant colours of the bougainvilleas add to give the perfect surroundings.

Single, Double Rooms are located in the Main Building and the Bungalows. Family Rooms are in the Main Building. See the link for facilities in the all rooms.

The KBH has its own swimming pool, and its own beach where residents and visitors can relax on the lawns by the pool, or down on the sandy beach. The beach has its own very large bar which serves drinks, snacks, with an extensive menu.

Definately for Families, and Couples. More expensive, but well worth it. For more information see the KBH Link at;

TELESILLA HOTELhttp://i9.tinypic.com/4c1qfcl.jpg

The Telesilla is a family run hotel that has recently gone a complete refurbishment. Many who have statyed at this hotel have commented on the excellence it gives its customers, and many have returned year after year.

Facilities include a Breakfast Bar, a large pool with its own Snack Bar. Internet Room. Car Hire. The hotel is also very close to the No 7 Bus Service to Corfu Town.

The rooms consist of a private balcony, Shower room, Air conditioning, Small Fridge, Personal Safe box.

Suitable for both Families and Couples alike. More information can be found on the Telesilla website at;

ALEKA HOTELhttp://i10.tinypic.com/48yacu0.jpg

The Aleka again, is a family run hotel. Having stayed there a couple of times I would recommend this hotel highly. However, because of the company who had the Aleka on their books backed out, the Aleka has gone over to a Dutch company, although I beleive one can still book direct with them.

The Aleka is split into 3 blocks. 1 block is Self Catering, and the others are room only. In the latter, each room has A/C at an extra cost, and a small fridge. The rooms are basic, but are cleaned and serviced daily.

There is a large pool with plenty of sunbeds and shades. The pool has a bar, where a small menu is served throughout the day and in the evenings.

Again this is a family and couples accommodation, and all though basic, is very comfortable, and only a short walk to the village of Kontokali. The Aleka does not have a website of its own, as it is controlled by the Dutch company. (I wish the Aleka would go back to a British company, or independant).

GIKAS APARTHOTELhttp://i10.tinypic.com/4ckc6jb.jpg

The Gikas Apartments set in a good location which is close to the nightlife of Gouvia. Another family run complex, which makes it ideal for a family holiday choice. Located on a hillside overlooking Gouvia, approximately 5 mins walk (across the main road) from the village of Gouvia and its beaches a little further on.

The Gikas has studios and two bedroomed apartments. Studios have separate twin bedroom, small kitchen, fridge, bathroom and balcony/terrace. Apartments have two bedrooms, kitchen/dining room and are otherwise as studios.

Facilities include a Swimming pool surrounded by the wonderful gardens. Sun beds and umbrellas, kiddies pool, sun terraces and lively poolside bar with satellite t.v, serving meals and snacks daily. Entertainment contains, Greek Kitchen Night, Film Night, and Karaoke Night.

Suitable for both Families and Couples. More information can be found on the Gikas own website at;

This post will be updated as I research and find more places of accommodation.
